I've got the first of THREE content coaching videos ready to go for you and it will be sending out, arriving to your email inboxes THIS Wednesday (July 24, 2019)!
I have to say that this may be one of my favorite videos I've made, and as a flipped classroom teacher, I've made a lot of videos.
Something I haven't done more than once or twice before is switch between my web camera and my document camera. So, by doing just that in this video I was able to speak about the content over my slides (more helpful for those of you taking some notes) AND demonstrate my thinking and teaching on paper! I loved it, and I know you will too.
Here's a few screenshots of the video to give you a sneak peek of what's coming...
If you didn't catch my Facebook Live about this training, I highly recommend you do so, because I give a sneak peek there as well.
I'm going to help you feel confident about teaching the normal curve to your students this year. I'm going to give you a way to help them visualize and understand the normal curve conceptually, and then how to answer a test question with it.
I'm so glad you asked. Because YOU, the teacher in the room, feeling confident about what you are teaching and how you are teaching it is what has the most impact on your students' learning. And when you are in your first few years of teaching a NEW content, let's face it... no one is good at teaching it. At least, not as good as they will be come year three or four+.
Let's not let your first year or two of teaching AP Psychology be the sacrificial lamb of your career where you look back and are borderline ashamed of how badly you underperformed due to being confused by the content, shall we?
Make sure you've got the workbook, and once you do, be watching that email inbox on Wednesday morning! Please know that these videos will only be available for a limited time, so make sure when you get them, you watch them soon.
Until next time,
